Loved our stay at Les Balcons. The rooms have been renovated so looking a lot more modern then a year before, we stayed half board, there's a restaurant downstairs which was really good, but there's a kitchen in the apartment and it has all you'd need if you're cooking, spar shop nearby. The swimming pool was great. The only downside was sofa bed that was quite uncomfortable to sleep on.

Fantastic Stay Would absolutely recommend this hotel. We (couple in 40s and a 9 year old) came on our first ski holiday and are so glad to have chosen this resort and these apartments. We chose these apartments as it offered a half board option. The food was amazing with a fantastic selection of meals but what really made it was the staff. They could not have been nicer. What a difference this makes. From reception to restaurant staff, they were all absolutely brilliant and so friendly. We loved having the self catering facilities option in our apartment for lunch but I didn't want to be cooking and cleaning and sorting would recommend the half board option. Lovely breakfast and meal options in the evening. Can't fault anything about it. The apartment itself was next to ski room and overlooked the slope. We weren't bothered by the noise as were up anyway getting ready to ski. Great ski in ski out options although the blue run down is definitely a bit trickier than other blue runs. We used the pool which was lovely and loved that we could borrow the sledges from reception whenever we wanted. Apartments are a 2 mins walk to local spa. We are looking at returning next year and would definitely want to come back to this hotel. I hope the staff are paid well as they really made the difference to our stay. Thank you to all for making our first ski holiday such a fantastic experience.

Perfectly located on the Arpette slope, the best ski-in/ski-out ever. Staffs are lovely and helpful - restaurant is super efficient and nice vibe, we were on half-board so we spent a lot of time at the restaurants and we were happy with it overall. The room was good but just one thing - the heating produce plastic smell which wasn't pleasant but we were able to just isolate it in the apartment by closing all doors. Heard there were some work carried out and it may be where the smell is associated to. The communal areas look a bit tired with wear and tear but overall the room was good. Will return!

Wij komen terug.

An excellent location at the edge of the piste. The rooms have enough space, are well stocked with everything you need, the view from the balcony was amazing and all the staff were lovely. We didn't want for anything at the accommodation, we cooked in most evenings and returned for lunch time. The accommodation had lots of bits that you sometimes take for granted - enough hooks to hang clothes, an oven, loads of USB charge points, a big table, big ski lockers - allocated to each apartment, separate toilets/showers.... I could go on. As a regular skier, there are few places I have been to that are this good at 'ski to door'. I love it that I can clip into my skis within two yards of the boot room. It is wonderfully convenient when coming back for lunch etc. The only downside is that for anyone that doesn't have the experience to ski the sometimes tricky blue outside, it is a hard yomp to the ski school meeting place. Being right on the slopes is a bit of a compromise in that it is a bit of a walk to the main part of town to the supermarkets and bars, although the bar at Les Balcons was decent enough with lovely staff. That said, I would always choose ski convenience over almost everything else, and this cannot be better at Les Balcons.

Firstly, I wanted to make a special mention to the reception staff who were always friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Our apartment was very clean and obviously just refurbished. It was well equipped. The location of the building is really convenient, being ski in/out, having a Skiset shop within the building and being easy walking distance of a Spar supermarket and a range of lovely restaurants in Belle Plagne. The ‘Le Chalet’ bar / restaurant within the building did the most delicious pizzas! Our only (slight) complaint was the smell and size of the lockers in the ski & boot room. Our apartment was supposed to be for 6/8 persons yet there were only 4 pairs of boot ‘prongs’ (unheated) in the boot locker. There is a sign to say do not take your boots to the apartment but I’m not sure what else you are supposed to do with the boots that don’t fit in the locker because the ski locker was full of skis & poles.

Great living area. One of the bedrooms was a bit small - it was difficult to open and close the door as it hit the bed. The carpark is awful - too small for modern cars, ramps too tight and steep. Even with 4wd, it took a couple of attempts to get up the ramp. Extractor fans in several of the bathrooms didn't appear to be working.

We had an absolutely amazing week staying at Les Balcons in Belle Plagne. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic—right on the slopes, making ski-in/ski-out incredibly convenient. Waking up to stunning mountain views every morning was a real highlight. The apartments are spacious, clean, and well-equipped, perfect for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay, always available if we needed anything. The on-site facilities, including the pool and spa, were a great bonus and made the experience even more enjoyable.Belle Plagne itself is a lovely resort with a great atmosphere, plenty of dining options, and easy access to the wider Paradiski area.Overall, we had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Les Balcons to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient ski holiday. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Les Balcons de Belle Plagne is a very well located residence, with easy access to the piste and close to the centre. The reception staff are extremely helpful and welcoming. The spacious, refurbished apartment was very well equipped and comfortable with modern appliances. The wifi was good enough for basic use but could be improved so that internet channels on the TV can be used. Also the entrance in and out of the car park is rather dark and dusty. We only used the pool facilities once and it was extremely busy. Overall we were very pleased with the accommodation and would be happy to return.

This is my 6th stay in Les Balcons in 13 years. The refurbishment for this season has given the rooms a fresh appeal. Conveniently located and ski in ski out suitable for all but the very basic of beginners makes this ideally located with on site bar and restaurant as well as Skiset shop.

We’ve just returned from a week staying in a 12/14 apartment and can highly recommend this accommodation. The location is spot on, right on the Arpette slope (genuine ski in/out) with easy access to ski schools and the village centre. The huge apartment was newly refurbished to a high standard and very clean and we had everything we needed. The spa was lovely and the service at the main reception was very welcoming. Having a ski hire shop in the building was ideal and the boot room was huge so there was plenty of space to get ready. We had the dinners only package and thoroughly enjoyed the set menu meals every evening with plenty of alternative options too. The children’s menu could have some more choices and perhaps a different size option for 0-6 and 7-11 as our older kids were bored/hungry some evenings. However we were looked after perfectly by Louis every night with the help of Lucie, Alexa and Sebastien. Thank you for a fantastic stay - we will be back!

Excellent Clean, spacious, well equipped apartment with a great view. We had a two bed, two bathroom with one separate toilet. Beds made, clean towels and a bag with dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, sponge and cleaning cloth on arrival. Sebastian on reception was really welcoming. You have to leave a €600 deposit and at the end of the holiday you let reception know you are checking out the following day and they will give you a check out time. I think the earlier you do this the later time, up to 11, you’ll be given to check out. It looks as though its done on a rota for each room. On your last day you need to strip the beds and put the linen and towels into bags provided by reception. The fridge, oven, microwave and kitchen sides have to be cleaned and the dishwasher and bins must be emptied. La Chalet restaurant is next to the ski hire shop, under the hotel rooms. The staff are really nice, the food is great, but you may need to book. The ski and boot hire shop is in the hotel and the ski pass shop is nearer the village. The spa is great and treatments are very good. You can take the slopes outside the hotel if you are an experienced skier. They are very steep (Blue run). Or you can walk down the road to the left of the hotel exit and walk to the gondola which takes you to Bellecote, where you can ski on a green slope with a magic carpet or you can get the chair lifts to different slopes. You can walk through the village too but its easier to take the road if you have ski boots on. There are more slopes from the village too and there is a green slope behind the ski school. I had lessons on the blue slopes with Tom at ESF, he was great and showed me and my son in law blue slopes with pathways that avoided the steeps! The blue slopes here have some very steep points but if you have a lesson you’ll be shown the gentler route. We will definitely be returning to this hotel. The location and resort is fantastic!

Family fun We have just returned from an amazing week at es Balcons. Travelled as 2 families totaling 9 people in total and had plenty of room with 6 bedrooms. We got lucky with the weather for skiing which always helps but the location and cleanliness of the apartment was also excellent. The only thing which we wished we had done was to book with a piste view as the traffic noise in front sometimes disturbed our sleep but overall we had a great time. Thank you Les Balcons - we will be back.

Great ski-in/ski-out location with beautiful surroundings. We really appreciated the ample storage space in the rooms, the morning croissant delivery, and the cozy fireplace in the house — it created a lovely alpine atmosphere. However, there were some downsides. The heating in the room was insufficient and could not be adjusted, so it was quite cold. The spa area was overcrowded, not very clean, and children were not allowed in the sauna. There was also a very strong unpleasant smell in the ski room and boot room, so we had to dry our boots in the apartment instead.

The only truly positive aspect of this property is the ski-in/ski-out access, which provides excellent and convenient access to the slopes. Unfortunately, this is the only strong point I can highlight.Overall, the apartments are acceptable — modest, somewhat dated, but generally well maintained. However, the heating was not functioning upon arrival and had to be explicitly requested. Even after it was switched on, one of the rooms remained uncomfortably cold throughout the entire stay. The ski room in Chalet 1 is highly disappointing. It resembles a public restroom in both smell and atmosphere, with a strong sewage odor and persistently damp, heavy air. I would not feel comfortable leaving expensive ski equipment there. Finally, the checkout procedure was unexpected for a property of this category. Guests are required to perform substantial cleaning tasks themselves, including washing kitchenware, cleaning the living area, and removing bed linens, with the explicit notice that additional fees may apply if these tasks are not completed to the required standard. For a property presented as a 4-star hotel, and at a rate exceeding €7,000 per week per apartment, this level of service feels inappropriate. It has been quite some time since I have encountered such a lack of customer-oriented service in accommodation of this level.

The biggest let down was the WiFi which didn’t work for the first 3days then when it did come on he kept dropping signal, the apartment was a very good size and nice and clean, the location wasn’t great for young children as was a bit of a track to ski school.

Nine years staying at Les Balcons. Great place to stay, we have been coming here since 2017. Self catering apartments with swimming pool, gym and wellness facilities. Bar and restaurant is very popular and take away pizza etc are available to eat in your apartments. All apartments have been refurbished over the last two years to a very high standard. Prices depend on the weeks you book popular times are mire expensive.

The apartment we rented of 6 roo.s was great. The communication with the place is great. There were 2 problems - the first one is the ski room and the ski closet. the all ski room is very old and wet with no drying facilities. The ski equipment closet can be locked very good but inside is wet with no place to hang and dry the ski boots. It's not fun to start the day with wet ski boots. Another issue is the heating which controls by the hotel and if you are not asking to activate it is cold in the room and shower room. It is a place with great potential which renovated the apartment but no investment in the ski room. We enjoyed the vacation but must provide remarks to be corrected to have a full value to money. Thanks

Good hotel in a great location Lovely hotel in a great location. We stayed in a newly refurbished room which was very modern with 2 balconies overlooking the Arpette piste. Comfy beds with tea/coffee facilities and fridge. Nice bathroom with a powerful walk-in shower. A friend stayed in one of the older style rooms, which was a large corner room and these still have whirlpool baths. Breakfast was a modest affair but we are happy to eat croissants, bread, cereal etc. Evening meals were very good quality and you get to choose 3 courses from an a la carte menu which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were friendly, particularly the waitresses in the evening, with a good sense of humour. You are given your own ski locker and the hotel is on quite a steep blue run but you can also walk to the small gondola in belle plagne which takes you down to bellecote. We had lots of snow on our holiday and went to la plagne with the crystal ski reps a couple of nights. The bus between the resorts is free and runs until about 11.30 at night.

Pleasant apartment with rather compact rooms and an issue with lighting levels. These are pleasant apartments with spacious communal areas, but there are just a couple of small-ish issues. The first is that the rooms have recently been refurbished and now have a single, larger wardrobe rather that the two smaller wardrobes they previously had. This is fine if only one person is occupying the room and possibly also for a couple. The difficulty arises is two friends are sharing and each needs their own space to hang clothes. Another issue is in the bathroom. The new showers are great, but the retractable washing line over the tub is no longer there. Not sure what the thinking was behind that change, but it's not an improvement. Perhaps Les Balcons could retrofit some. The final niggle is the low level of illumination in the room. This was an issue before the refurbishment and is still one now, so the opportunity to deal with the problem has been missed. In my experience, a torch (flashlight) was needed to check the recesses of the wardrobe and to ensure nothing was missed when packing. Surely installing a strong overhead light wouldn't have been a costly upgrade. - Overall, however, the rooms are OK if a little on the compact side for two people sharing. - Another point worth bearing in mind is that the only toilets / showers in the apartment are in the bedrooms. Anyone sleeping in the living area will need to access one of the bedrooms to find a bathroom. Not ideal in the middle of the night! Not sure if these apartments had extra bathrooms before the refurbishment, but Les Balcons apartments in other resorts certainly do or did. I have highlighted some negatives here, but it should be noted that the complex also has a major plus point, which is the spa area. We were able to access this without leaving the building
